Paying Kindness Forward

As the seventh of nine children, middle grades education major Helena Boehling '21 has had to support herself financially. Receiving the Chuck W. and Nadine P. Edwards Excellence Scholarship for the past two years and the Replogle Family Scholarship during her freshman year has helped ease the financial stress of attending NC State. The support has allowed her to “receive the education I can pay forward to my students in the future.”

Why I Give: ‘I Want Future Teachers to Have the Same Opportunity’

Cathy and Ron Hairr treasure the education they received at NC State, but paying for school often interfered with time for studying, and they were unable to experience semesters abroad.
