Meet Josh Guter — Goodnight Scholar, Entrepreneurship Ambassador and Miller Fellow

While his college career was nothing less than spectacular, Josh Guter said the most valuable tool he received from NC State is the ability to challenge himself and learn how to succeed in a variety of different situations. Private support enabled Guter to do all of that and more while also preparing him for the next extraordinary phase of his life.

Entrepreneurship Selects Five New Alumni for the 2021 Miller Fellowship

The Dr. Thomas Kenan Miller II Fellows Program supports newly graduated entrepreneurs who wish to pursue their venture full-time after graduation with resources and a monthly stipend. The graduates selected for this year’s cohort represent five university colleges and four unique startups, and two are also Park Scholars.

Meet Michael Evans: Co-Founder and CFO, Park Scholar, 2x Statistics Graduate and Miller Fellow

Michael Evans joined the Wolfpack as an engineering major but soon realized big data and statistics were his calling. Shortly after switching majors, and thanks to the Park Scholarships Program, Evans made his way into the world of entrepreneurship by co-founding the nonprofit 321 Coffee.

Miller Steps Back From Delta and Mckimmon Roles to Focus on Entrepreneurship

Thomas “Tom” Kenan Miller III, senior vice provost for academic outreach and entrepreneurship, has led Distance Education and Learning Technology Applications (DELTA) since its inception in 2000. Miller was named the founding vice provost in January 2001 following a national search. This summer, he will step back from his leadership role there and his oversight of the McKimmon Center for Extension and Continuing Education to focus on his ongoing role leading NC State Entrepreneurship and working closely with the Wolfpack Investor Network in the next phase of his career.

Sam Weaver, a senior majoring in computer science and minoring in theatre, has been announced as the first recipient of the John and Linda Leazar Award in Entrepreneurship. With a passion for outside-the-box thinking that translates into solving society’s greatest problems, the Leazars are committed to supporting future generations of entrepreneurs and innovative leaders.
