Syngenta Internship Endowment to Strengthen Students’ Regulatory Knowledge and Leadership

The Syngenta-funded Janis McFarland CERSA Internship Endowment, which was designed to help develop future leaders in the ag technology field by strengthening student education and training in the ag regulatory sciences, supports up to five three-month internships for each year over the next four years. It is named in honor of Janis McFarland, the retired head of Regulatory and Stewardship at Syngenta Crop Protection in North America.

College of Education Establishes Warfield Fellows in Memory of Chantal Warfield ’19

The NC State College of Education has announced the creation of the Warfield Fellows. This competitive eight-week internship program is supported through memorial contributions and furthers the legacy of Chantal Warfield, a May 2019 graduate who passed away this past October. Warfield was committed to addressing inequities that disproportionately impact low-income, first-generation and underrepresented student populations.

SECU Foundation Offers New Internships for NC State Students

Through funding from the State Employees Credit Union (SECU) Foundation, NC State students will be serving rural communities in North Carolina while gaining valuable career experience this summer. The new SECU Public Fellows Internship Program provides up to $50,000 to fund 10 existing internships in 2020. In partnership with NC State’s Rural Works! program, SECU Public Fellows will receive professional development training and career readiness coaching.
