Record Number of Donors Supports Libraries on 2024 Day of Giving

Donors bolstered the Libraries’ support of student success and affordable education with 336 gifts on NC State’s sixth annual Day of Giving — a 46% increase from last year’s previous-record total — totaling more than $1.8 million.

The Libraries’ Annual Donors and Scholars Event Spotlights the Significance of Legacy

The NC State University Libraries student scholarship awardees and donors gathered in Hunt Library’s Duke Energy Hall for a Donors and Scholars reception on February 22. For the 2023-24 academic year, philanthropic support for the Libraries Student Scholarship Fund allowed the Libraries to award 18 talented students with scholarships totaling $67,760.

A New Libraries Scholarship Gives Students the Help They Need — and Deserve

A conversation at the Libraries’ Donors and Scholars event inspired the Mark Bailey and Stephen Edgerton Libraries Scholarship Endowment — a fund that will be used to provide need-based scholarships for student employees at the Libraries with preference to students who have worked in the LGBTQ+ community or have an interest in LGBTQ+ issues.

The Libraries Partners With OSFA’s Pack Promise to Offer Textbook Scholarships

Funded by donations to the Libraries’ Student Resource Fund, a new pilot program is providing textbook scholarships worth $869 apiece to 20 students in the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid’s Pack Promise program this academic year.

The Libraries Makerspace Crowdfunding Campaign More Than Triples Its Goal

The Libraries Makerspace led the universitywide, fall 2023 crowdfunding campaign with 37 donations totaling $16,135 — more than three times the original goal of $5,000. The Libraries will use the funds raised during the campaign to support Makerspace operations by purchasing supplies and performing maintenance.
