Angela C. Caraway Family Scholarship a Dream Come True

Angela Caraway '95 has stayed connected to NC State through her work as the event planner for Packapalooza, and as a board member for the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity and for the National Diversity Advisory Board. The Gift of Opportunity for NC State Students

When Connie Carson arrived at NC State as a first-generation college student, student affairs programs and intramural sports provided her with the community she needed to succeed. Through a generous planned gift and annual giving contributions to establish the Connie L. Carson Student Experience Fund and further strengthen the Wolfpack Club's Student-Athlete Engagement And Leadership Fund, Carson is ensuring future first-year students find their place in the Pack.

Why I Give: ‘I Want Future Teachers to Have the Same Opportunity’

Cathy and Ron Hairr treasure the education they received at NC State, but paying for school often interfered with time for studying, and they were unable to experience semesters abroad. They have established a gift through their estate that will be shared equally between NC State’s College of Education and College of Engineering to provide need-based scholarships so future teachers and engineers can take full advantage of opportunities at the university.
