Latinx Heritage Month Display Conveys Dreams, Stories of Poole College Students

Dreams and Stories – Sueños y Cuentos – showcases reflections about the value gained from their parents and their Latinx heritage from five Poole College of Management students, including Chancellor's Leadership Development Program participant Josue Hernandez. The display is on the third floor of Nelson Hall, near the auditorium.

Mentor Support: A Key Takeaway for 2018 Andrews Launch Accelerator Participants

Teams in the 2018 Andrews Launch Accelerator program and the Dr. Thomas Kenan Miller III Fellows Program recently participated in the Andrews Launch Accelator pitch night. Both programs provide critical mentorship support and fresh perspective to student startup teams and are made possible through the philanthropy of NC State alumni, including Chip and Lyn Andrews, Billy Nussey and Chris Evans.

The Best Mousetrap Doesn’t Always Win

Stacy Wood joined NC State in 2010 as the Langdon Distinguished University Professor of Marketing. Her research on the psychology of innovation and related trends helps companies around the world understand human behavior, which boosts their efforts to develop and market new products and services. Wood also created NC State's Consumer Innovation Collaborative, an academic-corporate research initiative.

Two Poole Students Win Study Abroad Scholarship

Ari Alexandrescu, a senior studying economics, and Anna Zhao, a junior studying business administration, are receiving NC State's Jackson Rigney Study Abroad Scholarship. Alexandrescu will head to Vienna, Austria, this fall and Zhao will study in Shanghai, China.

Poole College Appoints Manning to Development and External Relations Team

Scott Manning has joined the NC State Poole College of Management as director of development in its Office of Development and External Relations. Manning, a lifelong NC State fan who grew up in Raleigh, most recently was president and chief executive officer of the Holly Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Four Startup Teams Begin Andrews Launch Accelerator Program

On May 14, four teams of NC State student entrepreneurs began a 15-week program designed to help them successfully launch their startup ventures. They were selected from more than 25 applicants for the 2018 Andrews Launch Accelerator Program, which was made possible through a gift from Lyn and Chip Andrews.

2018 Lulu eGames Winners

On April 5, more than 500 people gathered in Stewart Theatre to see the next generation of entrepreneurs at the Lulu eGames LIVE, NC State's annual startup competition. Awards categories included one made possible by the Daugherty Entrepreneurialism Endowment in partnership with the Kenan Institute for Engineering, Technology & Science.
