Four Poole Faculty Receive New Distinguished Professorships

Four Poole College of Management faculty members were honored recently with distinguished professorships. The addition of Mark Beasley, Jesse Ellis, Jeffrey Pollack and Bill Rand brings the total number of distinguished professors in the college to 15, including Frank Buckless, the Stephen P. Zelnak Jr. Dean of the Poole College of Management.

More Than Money

After losing her mother to cancer three days into her freshman year at NC State, Alyssa Bowker found herself thrust into a challenging emotional and financial situation. To honor her mother, and seeded by gifts from their wedding guests, she and her husband created an endowment that they continue to grow to support students facing similar difficulties.

Winston Hall created the Louise Rackley Hall and Winston T. Hall Scholarship to honor his mother’s legacy of hard work and determination. Once fully funded, it will provide need-based scholarships for Poole College of Management students pursuing an undergraduate degree in accounting.
