Get Involved

NC State is a university committed to creating economic, societal and intellectual prosperity in North Carolina and beyond, and it takes every member of the Wolfpack to help us reach our goals. By volunteering on campus and giving your time to our students, faculty, programs and facilities, you can help us think beyond the boundaries and do the extraordinary.

A Legacy of Serving and Enhancing Communities

"If our museum is furthering the understanding between cultures and recognized for the power that it can have over people’s lives, the payoff is at the end there’s something there that is going to be standing for a long time." Phil Freelon, who graduated from the College of Design in 1975, passed away on July 9. The legacy he built through service to his alma mater and through community-enhancing architecture, such as the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture, will indeed stand for a long time.

Providing for the Pack

NC State continues making strides to combat food insecurity on campus, from the growing PACK Meal Share program to the addition of meal kits in the Feed the Pack Food Pantry. The efforts dovetail with the collaborative efforts of partners including the Division of Academic and Student Affairs and NC State Dining to create Pack Essentials, a means for meeting students’ needs for housing, food and financial services.

Engineering Alum — and Volunteer for NC State — Designs Hardware for Future Human Space Travel

AJ Rackl graduated in 2016 from the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering with strong technical skills. But he says it’s the soft skills he learned — how to lead a project, work in a group and network with people — that have helped him the most in his role at Blue Origin in Kent, Washington. Rackl continues to network with and support NC State alumni and current students as the Engineering Foundation's regional presentative in the greater Seattle area and as a member of the foundation’s Young Alumni Advisory Board.
